Vaccine Administration and Certification
The SmartHealth RECOVERS solution focuses on software modules, as well as all operational configuration, health worker training, pop-up and established clinic infrastructure, patient-outreach management, vaccination certificate generation, reporting, and interfaces to any existing Government systems.
COVID and the emerging vaccines have brought focus to the need for Digital Campaign tools.
LMICs Need...
An approach that works at scale
(Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of doses administered per day)
A scalable system
(Small number to large number of vaccinations)
Digital first system
Real time observability and
monitoring roll out, adverse events
Well designed infrastructure
Ability to scale and build
capacity at a short notice
Generation of world-standard vaccination certificates as proof of vaccination for use in showing employers (e.g. a health worker proving their vaccination status to a hospital), and for travel across borders
SmartHealth RECOVERS is a total operational solution for enabling effective COVID-19 vaccination programs.
The solution focuses on software modules, as well as all operational configuration, health worker training, pop-up and established clinic infrastructure, patient-outreach management, vaccination certificate generation, reporting, and interfaces to any existing Government systems.

Full operational solution
A folder is indexed by a digital receipt, stored as a photo that can be archived, indexed and retrieved by long-term storage capabilities such as Google Photos - keep it as a favorite family photo or print it out.
Inside each folder, the patient and/or HCW can create, retrieve or use documents, if they have the permission. “Smart Documents” are capabilities such as biometric matching.
Biometric verification at time of 1st dose and 2nd dose.
Scanning and storage of the vaccine batch number.
Focus on standards
Vaccination certificate generation - VCI and DIVOC are emerging world-standards. We work closely the VCI committee standards group, while also focused on ensuring interoperability between the two standards.
We recognize that many digital campaigns, especially in the context of COVID vaccination, are being deployed rapidly. The use of APIs and data standards even in this expedited stage can provide significant benefits later when nations initiate campaigns such as back-to-work, back-to-travel, and vaccination booster programs, all of which may require standardized definition and retrieval of a patient’s detailed vaccination history.
Architecture Overview
Flexible Infrastructure Requirements
SmartHealth RECOVERS is designed to be simple, and to be able to be deployed on a standalone basis in any environment with or without power or internet connectivity with some loss of functionality, or overlaid temporarily or over a longer time period on top of an existing clinic’s infrastructure.
The main components in a SmartHealth RECOVERS clinic are a set of mid-level smartphones with WiFi capability, a Local-Area Network (LAN capability), and portable power capability to charge phones and support LAN usage. There are also back-up components that replace some aspects of the solution in case health-workers or technical staff are unable or forget to perform preparatory steps.
